Scottsdale 2009
Lot #1262.1 - A very rare 1965 L76 Corvette coupe with factory air. 1 of only
227 produced. The numbers matching 365hp engine has been professionally
restored to its original state and runs strong. With its original Holley carb,
alternator, fuel pump, starter, heads, intake manifold, distributor, exhaust
manifolds, etc., it's not hard to see how awesome this engine is. In addition, the
M20 transmission was completely gone though and shifts very smooth. The car
was originally bought in January 1965 by William Hansen in Lancaster, CA, and
still retains its original Black Plates. Bill parked the car in 1983 with the thoughts
of restoring her with his son. She stayed in his garage until Bob Gagliano bought
her in 2003 and again she was garaged. I bought this no-hit, mostly original car
from Bob in August 2006. A 19-month, body-off, professional, full restoration
was completed. No expense was spared to ensure an accurate and correct date
coded and part numbered car from the original shocks, 3.70 posi-traction
differential, instrument gauges, clock, radio, wiper motor, horns, headlight motors
and even original wiper blades.

This is arguably one of the finest L76 coupes on the planet. In March 2008, the
car was NCRS judged for the first time at the Southern CA meet and received a
Top Flight Award. We wanted to ensure her place among the best so in July 2008
we took her to the National NCRS Convention where we again received a Top
Flight Award. In the car is a complete listing of date codes and part numbers
for review along with her Protect-O-Plate, Trim Tag and owner's manual.
